Cyber Manufacture Co.'s residency is designed for individuals who are looking for a short-term commitment or are still in academic institutions. The residents will be embedded in our existing teams to work on projects that will directly contribute to our core products and services, paving the way for a potential full-time role. Apart from team-specific qualifications, we particularly value ownership, general problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Past work experience is welcomed but not required. You will be working on a 3-6 month project with one of the following two teams:
Cloud: You will be responsible for building core systems that comprise the kernel™ and rabbit™ across various cloud platforms, ensuring that our services are always up and running. Ideal candidates should be familiar with virtualization technologies and at least one of the major cloud stacks (GCP, AWS, Azure), with a deep understanding of building scalable and resilient systems.
Machine Learning: You will prototype and build core machine learning models that made our operating system experience special, ranging from large language models to multi-modal foundation models understanding how AI should interact with the world in the ways we do. Ideal candidates are familiar with state-of-the-art techniques in either language models or computer vision and also running large distributed training jobs on multi-node GPU clusters in PyTorch or serving and optimizing the models in inference.
This role is based in our Los Angeles headquarters.
The annual salary range for this role is 100,000 to 150,000. The final package may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and prior work experience; the total compensation package for this role also includes stock options.
